Toilet Smart is a mixture of specially selected friendly bacteria and other cleaning agents which are able to effectively reduce the solids that commonly collect in pit latrines. The friendly bacteria found in Toilet Smart rapidly speed up the degradation process by converting the solids into water and carbon dioxide (C02). The water evaporates and seeps into the soils easier than the solids would and the gases disappear into the atmosphere. This process results in lower levels in the pit and ongoing improvements within the pit environment.
